GGF x CLEVER BEAN PARTNERSHIP

Sound familiar?

Healthy sales, but nothing left in the bank at the end of the month? It happens more often than you’d think, and it’s rarely down to bad luck.

More often, it comes down to a handful of things that never get spotted, because business owners simply don’t have the information to tell them where the business is doing well and where it isn’t. Put simply: if you don’t know your numbers, or how they compare to the best businesses in the industry, you won’t know what actually needs fixing.

It could be:

  • Your pricing model, quietly selling below where it should be
  • Your buying prices, creeping up without you noticing
  • Remedial and call-back work running above where it should
  • Fitter pay schemes or fitter productivity not quite working
  • Sales that have plateaued, without a clear reason why

There are usually two or three things which, if focused on, would make a huge difference to your business. The hard part is knowing which two or three. That’s what this review is built to answer.

What the Health Check Looks At

The Clever Bean Business & Financial Health Check is a focused, one-off financial and operational review, designed specifically for glazing and home improvement businesses. It gives you clarity and confidence about how your business is really performing, without requiring you to change accountants or commit to anything ongoing upfront.

It helps you understand:

    • Where profit is being made, and where it’s being lost
    • Why cash may feel tight even when order are strong
    • Whether pricing, costs, and operations are working together properly
    • Which issues matter most, and which can safely wait

“Is my business working as hard for me as I am working for it?”

What It Covers

Depending on your priorities, the Health Check will typically look at:

  • Profitability & margin analysis
  • Pricing structure review
  • Cashflow & working capital
  • Balance sheet strength
  • Sales, marketing & conversion metrics
  • Operations & installations
  • Compliance & risk
  • Company structure & statutory compliance
  • Director remuneration & tax planning
  • Systems, software & reporting
  • Growth modelling & forecasting
  • Team & organisational structure

What Makes This Different

This isn’t a generic accountancy review. We work exclusively with glazing and home improvement businesses, so we understand the industry, its language, and its challenges.

That means we understand:

    • Realistic margins and cost structures
    • How pricing actually works in practice
    • Where glazing businesses typically lose money
    • What “good” looks like at different sizes and stages

The review is practical, not theoretical. Based on real numbers, not assumptions. Focused on decision-making, not reports for the sake of it.

How It Works

A fixed-scope, fixed-fee review, designed to be efficient and to keep disruption to a minimum:

  • Scoping call: A short conversation to understand your concerns and agree the key areas to focus on
  • Review and analysis: A full day on-site, using the information you already have, without creating unnecessary work
  • Written Health Check report: What we found, why it matters, and where the biggest opportunities and risks sit
  • Review call: We talk through the findings together, answer questions, and discuss next steps if appropriate

Where a business’s bookkeeping needs a significant clean-up before a reliable review is possible, we’ll flag that during the scoping call and quote for it separately.

What This Isn’t

To be clear, the Health Check is not:

  • A bookkeeping tidy-up
  • A full implementation programme
  • A replacement for ongoing business & financial support
  • A sales pitch disguised as analysis

Where we do find bookkeeping issues along the way, we’ll tell you exactly what’s wrong and what it will take to fix it. Some clients use the Health Check as a standalone review. Others choose to move forward with Clever Bean. There is no obligation to proceed with further work.

GGF member price (save 25%)

£1,500

There is no obligation to take up ongoing support, you keep the benefit of the Health Check either way.

What Happens Next

For some businesses, the Health Check is enough on its own to reset direction and confidence. For others, it becomes the starting point for improving pricing or reporting, strengthening cashflow and control, and building a more sustainable, profitable business.

If ongoing support makes sense, we’ll show you how it could work through our Clever Core, Clever Grow, and Clever Perform packages, matched to your stage of growth. Any next step is only ever discussed if and when it makes sense for you.

If that’s a step you want to take, GGF members also receive a £750 refund, half of what you paid for the Health Check.

In Summary

The Health Check helps you answer the questions that really matter:

  • Why does the business feel harder than it should?
  • Where is profit being lost?
  • What should I focus on first?
  • Is this business capable of giving me the return I expect?
  • How do I compare with the best in the industry?

Because working harder isn’t the answer. Working with clarity is.
